Robot Battles: To the Bitter End

Master of ceremonies Kelly Lockhart returned this year as host, this time clad in an Elvis costume. To make the stage environment more interesting, he brought along rubber snakes as a stage hazard to trip up the robots. Yes, it was Snakes…on a Stage…

The double-elimination Robot Battles competition was divided into the 12 lb weight category and 30 lb weight category. Robots battled one-on-one, with the winner the best out of three matches. An enthusiastic crowd cheered on contestants through technical difficulties, loose screws, and Distracting Daughters waging a little psychological warfare on their dad's opponent.

In the 12 lb category, Probulator beat out Dagger, and Jason Kenny took home the title.
The 30 lb category was decided with the robot IRobob defeating Scimitar. Congratulations to Jason Kenny on his victory in the 30 lb category.

Afterward was the Battle Royal, a free-for-all contest within each category. The last robots standing were OmegaForce in the 12 lb and the StewieBot in the 30 lb category.
