The 2016 Dragon Con Night at the Georgia Aquarium, 7–11PM on Saturday, September 3, will feature DJ Marc J Cubbs and the second annual The Chôsen cosplay competition. Congoers can enjoy the beauty of the Aquarium’s exhibits paired with the geek atmosphere and excitement of Dragon Con. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume, even if they aren’t planning to participate in the contest.
For those who are ready for competition, The Chôsen offers the largest prizes of any costume contest at Dragon Con, with a grand prize of three nights’ paid hotel reservation for Dragon Con 2017 and an offer to return as a 2017 Chôsen judge, including two VIP tickets! Competitors must have tickets to the event to participate. Registration for The Chôsen takes place at the Aquarium from 6 to 7PM (to save time, download the contestant form in advance), and participants can make their final music selection at that time. Curtain call for the show is at 8PM, and the contest starts promptly at 8:30PM.
Tickets to Dragon Con Night at the Georgia Aquarium will be available outside Registration at the Sheraton for $30.00 in advance, or for $40.00 at the door. VIP admission is sold out. A shuttle bus will run Saturday 6PM–12AM, with pick-up and drop-off at the Marriott Marquis back driveway (facing the Hilton). A food court wil be available 7–9PM and cash bars 7-10PM.
