The Sci-Fi Literature track is sponsoring a special Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) game that will be played live onstage in Hyatt Regency V on Sunday at 8:30PM. John Hartness will be the Dungeon Master with Matt Dinniman, Paul Barrett, Bill Fawcett, Jody Lynn Nye, and R.R. Virdi playing. One seat in this game is available through an online auction.
The highest bidder will play a pregenerated character in a one-shot adventure. Only people who are attending Dragon Con are eligible to participate. The winner may be asked to arrive early to prep for the game.
Proceeds from the auction go to this year’s Dragon Con charity, the Georgia chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Georgia). Dragon Con will match every dollar donated throughout the con weekend, up to $125,000. The winning bid on last year’s D&D game was $3,650. Matching funds are calculated at the end of the weekend and are based on all donations. Last year, Dragon Con sent just over $300,000 to the Arthritis Foundation, $125,000 in matching and $175,000 from fan donations.
Dragon Con asks that only people who can actually participate bid for this seat. The game will last approximately 2.5 hours. Bids can be placed online only:

Anyone who can’t bid, who doesn’t win the seat, or who just wants to watch the game is welcome to come to Hyatt Regency V at 8:30PM on Sunday and enjoy the fun.
