Magical Music of the Georgia Philharmonic

Saturday night, the Hyatt Centennial was filled to capacity as people had eagerly awaited this night of incredible music and talented performers.

Music filled the hall with renditions of various shows and movies. The energy the performers put into these musical scores was displayed with skill and dedication to their craft. No one was disappointed with this show, and the time flew by with riveting music, incredible performers, and the energy of Dragon Con made this one of the major highlights of the Con.

Everyone, including the performers, could feel the joy and positive energy. Thunderous applause, joyful gasps, and some sing-alongs, are all part of the reasons the Georgia Philharmonic enjoys performing here at Dragon Con. Even the guest conductor, decked out as Nightshade from How To Train Your Dragon was excited to be a part of this night.

The hall erupted with thunderous applause after each musical score. Some selections provoked laughter, others may have shed a tear or two as each score brought back memories of each series or movie.

After the final number, the audience stood and applauded for almost five minutes. Laughter, smiles, and uplifted moods were prevalent throughout all.

The Georgia Philharmonic is a philharmonic in the truest sense of the word. Local musicians uniting and performing out of their love of music. In doing so, the artists create classical music experiences that not only rival those of professional orchestras but also delight and inspire audience members.
