Bling Bling Baby!

Things need sparkle, that special bling that brings out the feeling of wow. This workshop, titled “Bling Bling Baby! It’s Easy!” and presented by vendor Quiltoni Saturday afternoon in AmericasMart2, was fun and easy to learn. Participants were asked to bring their own item to spruce up. You can sparkle things like t-shirts, pants, masks, or other articles of clothing.

The process, using Rhinestone Genie, is easy. Choose your rhinestone(s), design your pattern or use a template, use transfer tape to move rhinestones to your item, and use an iron to set. Use your imagination. One color or multiple colors—your final will be as unique as you.

This project opens a new world of creativity. The workshop was one of several vendor workshops in the Mart that con-goers many not be aware of. Most are prepaid. If your workshop is in the Mart, show your receipt to the people at the entrance so you can skip the line and not miss your class. More information about Quiltoni is available at http://www.crafthackers.com.

Go and shine with Bling.
