Blood Isn’t Only For Vampires

Over the past four years, Dragon Con and LifeSouth have collected more than 25,000 units of blood (25,301 to be precise). During that same time period, more than 10,000 of you have donated blood. We’ve had a good increase in general over the past four years:

2009: 2,012 donors and 5,030 units of blood.

2010: 2,424 donors and 6,060 units of blood.

2011: 2,937 donors and 7,343 units of blood.

2012: 2,747 donors and 6,868 units of blood.

This year, it would be brilliant if we could hit 7,500 units of blood. Please come donate and encourage all your friends to donate, too. If you haven’t seen them, LifeSouth has the most awesome T-shirts designed specifically for Con. They’re collectors items in and of themselves!

The drive hours will be posted here soon, so keep watching this space, and please make sure you get enough to eat, drink (of the non-alcoholic variety!) and sleep, so you can easily donate.
