Dragon Con wouldn’t be complete without its annual parade. First thing Saturday morning, fans began lining the streets for a chance to see some of Dragon Con’s best costumes march through Atlanta. Starting promptly at 10AM, fandoms old and new began their journey.

Lead by Emilo Degado, Roscoe Orman, and Bob McGrath of Sesame Street as the Grand Marshals, the parade had something for everyone to enjoy. From classics like Scooby-Doo to new fandoms like the characters of Overwatch, Dragon Con attendees were treated to some of the best costuming of the year.

Captain America greeted the audience from his iconic motorcycle, giving us the impression that Cap had just driven right off the screen and into the parade.

The Spartans impressed the crowd as usual, but they weren’t the only warriors showing off for the crowds. Amazon warriors showed off their stuff as well to much applause. The Wakandan contingent impressed all, both in their battle gear and with a royal procession.

Spotted in the crowd was Cloak and Dagger actor Miles Mussenden. Mussenden and his family were unexpected guests, there to enjoy the fantastic costumes alongside the rest of DragonCon.

Bringing up the rear was the 501st, featuring the largest contingent of Jawas in the world.

If you missed the parade this year, make sure you check it out next year! In the meantime, you’ll just have to enjoy all the photos instead!
