Katya Jenson grew up reading her mom’s collection of science fiction and still thinks sci-fi cover art peaked in the ’70s.

She loves her native English, which led her to learn other languages and study Linguistics. After working as a translator and English instructor in Brazil, she completed the Master’s program in Linguistics at the University of Hawaii. She now works as a freelance editor and translator in Atlanta. Katya is a merciless typo hunter, prone to leaving copyeditor’s marks on public signs.

This is Katya’s first Dragon*Con, and she’s very happy to be writing for the Daily Dragon.
