Artists Remember Patrick Roberts

The Dragon*Con Art Show will hold a memorial for Patrick Roberts, the former Art Show Director, who passed away earlier this year. The memorial will be held Saturday, 8:30PM at the beginning of the Art Show awards ceremony in Grand Hall East.

Patrick is remembered for his enthusiastic support of Dragon*Con artists, including his wife Felicia Roberts. His tireless efforts to promote growth and diversity in the Art Show resulted in such innovations as digital art being made available as print on demand, juried and student art admissions, charity art challenges, and the “Iron Artist” competition, now in its eighth year.

An aerospace engineer by profession, Patrick earned his PhD at Georgia Tech. He had recently moved to California and accepted new employment in his chosen field. A devoted father, Patrick’s last hours were spent attending a function at his son’s school.
