Star Trek Celebrities Woo Fans

Star Trek movie veteran Robin Curtis (Saavik), Connor Trinneer ( “Trip” Tucker, Enterprise), and Max Grodénchik (Rom, Deep Six Nine) joined Next Generation stars Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) and LeVar Burton (Geordi LaForge) on Saturday evening to charm a standing-room crowd of fans for Trek Trak’s “Star Trek Celebrity Cavalcade.”  The panel fielded tough questions about their knowledge of Star Trek prior to their starring roles as well as reminiscing about their most memorable experiences in connection with their movies and series.  Curtis admitted to recalling the original Star Trek series as “erotic” and “hot.”  Sirtis compared joining the cast of Next Generation to a musician being asked to become one of The Rolling Stones.  Burton highlighted the Roddenberry continuum and the groundbreaking effects of its addition of people of color to the casts.  Grodénchik trumped the many humorous anecdotes shared by the stars when he sang the Ferengi version of “Sound Off.”

LeVar Burton and Marina Sirtis will make encore appearances in Trek Trak programming on Mon 10:00AM (Burton) and 11:30AM  (Sirtis), Centennial II-III.  Also on Monday, author Peter David will be featured on the Trek Trak 1PM, Baker.
