Down in the bowels of the Hyatt, a Dragon Con tradition lurks in the shadows. Throughout the con, you’ll see minions holding signs and luring unsuspecting attendees to the vampires’ den to steal their blood. Oh, the humanity!

Of course, our vampires are there in service of LifeSouth Community Blood Centers who have come to Dragon Con for 22 years for the Robert A. Heinlein “Pay It Forward” Blood Drive. LifeSouth serves 40 hospitals in the Atlanta area and more than 150 hospitals in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Everyone who donates will receive a special edition blood donor t-shirt, and if you make an appointment in advance, you will receive a special pin. Appointments are required to donate on Wednesday; appointments and walk-ins are welcomed for the rest of the convention!

LifeSouth will be set up to accept donors on the Conference level (LL3) in the Hyatt Regency Atlanta during the following hours:

Friday 10AM–7PM

Saturday 10AM–7PM

Sunday 10AM–7PM

Monday 9AM–3PM

Donors must be 17 years of age or 16 with parental consent, weight a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good health. Photo ID is required.
