Animation, Horror, and Parodies

The Dragon*Con Independent Film Festival opens each day at 9AM in the Learning Center and runs late, late to 4AM, finishing with an hour of short films.

A taste of what we’ll be showing:

  • Animation blocks, Fri at 2:30PM and Sat at 5:30PM, featuring the newest work from Don Hertzfeldt (“Billy’s Balloon” and Academy Award-nominated “Rejection”).
  • Horror, Fri at 10PM, featuring works with Andrea Thompson (Babylon 5) and Don S. Davis (Stargate SG-1), David Morse (House) and John C. McGinley (Scrubs).
  • Parodies, Fri at 5:30PM, including a spoof of 24 (in seven minutes), the astronauts of Apollo 13 cooking Thanksgiving dinner, and the Lord of the Rings… in downtown New York.
