Keeping Things Twisted

If you’ve ever wondered what the Brady Bunch might have sounded like if they had been played by the likes of Roger Rabbit, Kermit the Frog, Rafiki from The Lion King, or Yakko from the Animaniacs, then you have to look no further than Saturday night’s edition of Twisted Toonz at 7PM on the Main Programming channel.

Moderator Jeff Zannini assembled Khary Payton, Ross Marquand, Jess Harnell, Jennifer Hale, and Rob Paulsen to play each member of the Brady family (as well as Alice and some secondary characters) in the episode “A Fistful of Reasons.” For each scene of the episode, the panelists were assigned a character and a voice in which to read the dialogue. Things moved very quickly and it was hard to keep track of which panelist was which character and voice as the scenes changed, but a couple of things stood out: Carol Brady as played by Cartman from South Park and Marcia as played by Ozzy Osbourne. No one could keep their composure through those particular lines of dialogue.

It was an extremely fun time and fantastic to hear these talented actors use their voices to keep us so entertained. Seeing it happen live has got to be a side-splitting experience.
