The Dragon*Con Independent Short Film Festival awards ceremony took place on Monday, September 4th in Regency V (Hyatt). Clips were shown from each of three finalists in 13 categories (Animated Comedy, Animated Drama, Animated Fantasy, Animated Surrealism, Comedy, Dark Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, Horror, Horror Comedy, Music Video, Science Fiction, Thriller) as well as the four features in the festival.
The 2011 Parsec awards were presented on Friday (9/3) at 4PM in Regency V (Hyatt), co-hosted by musician/podcaster George Hrab and author/podcaster Christiana Ellis, with musical entertainment provided by Marc Gunn. And the winners are:

Announcing the winners of the Comic Book Babes Costume Contest:
Presented by the Costuming Track, and emceed with deft dexterity and swash-buckling suaveness by Nicole Harsch and Mike Sakuta from Crossed Swords, the Friday Night Costuming contest was a resounding success. With all entrants displaying fantastic costumes, a few stood out as particularly exceptional.
Anyone casually strolling through the crowds has witnessed them: Costumes–bright ones, wild ones, exotic ones, cute ones, scary ones, and everything in between. On Sunday and Monday, the Hyatt ballrooms came alive with the raging metal sound of Robot Battles, the second-oldest robot competition in the world and a hearty way to stave off post-con depression.
