Once again the flying wonders of the squared ring returned to Dragon*Con. Fred Saberhagen hosted the mixture of rocking and socking inside the roped coliseum. Stars from the historical annals of “sports entertainment,” Abdullah the Butcher, and Glacier, plied their trade in front of a standing room audience in the Main Regency Ballroom.

Steve from 99X and “Mr. Monopoly” (John Waterhouse) entertained the audience with witticisms that were as flat as the floor of the ring. The ring action was especially …

The Star Wars: Matters of the Force volunteers and staff would like to send Jerome a heartfelt thank you for his surprise appearance at the kick off of the MOTF Theater and Laser Show. Jerome decided to stop by to give the opening of the SW: The Phantom Menace a truly memorable beginning. Dragon*Con attendees a unique opportunity to sneak preview the newest installment of the fan favorite Crow series—The Crow: Salvation. The talents of Kirsten Dunst, Fred Ward and Dragon*Con guest, Eric Mabius, help round out a rather solid cast for this go-round. The copy the convention audience is getting to see is the only early complete draft of the film, which showed in occasional spots.

The original Crow movie was very simple, but in its simplicity, excellent, very similar to the first …

Brett Martin and Dave the Cameraman from area television show, “Good Day Atlanta,” came to take a look at the convention on Friday morning. The local Fox Network affiliate, Channel 5, brought their talent and equipment to take a look for life in the morning. And to the credit of the convention, there was a (I hate to use the word) respectable turnout.

Three Klingons, Bobba Fett, Ewoks, Jedi “Episode One” Knights, Star Destroyer officers, Storm Troopers, as well as several …
